Jian joined Kimberly-Clark Corporation in September 1990 after working for two years as a post doctor at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.  Since then, he spent almost twenty years in Kimberly-Clark’s R&D doing research work in areas of new material development.

Jian received a Master degree and a Ph. D degree in Polymer Science and Engineering from Dong Hua University in Shanghai, China.

Jian also has three years teaching experience as an assistant professor in Dong Hua University.  The courses he taught included Polymer Chemistry & Modifications, Specialty Polymers, Polymer Blends, and Polymer Testing & Equipment.
