Fox Valley Chinese School

Registration Policies

 1.     Fox Valley Chinese School reserves the right to dismiss any student/participant who displays inappropriate behavior, harmful behavior, or violates school rules and regulations.

2.      Please send an e-mail to principal@foxvalleychineseschool.com for any inquiry regarding registration and your account balances.

3.      Registration will be handled through e-mail, mail or in person.  Access the FVCS web site at http://www.foxvalleychineseschool.com.  Down load the registration form under “Enrollment” section.  Follow the instruction to complete and submit your application.

4.      The registration fee is $15 per semester per student and is non-refundable under any circumstances.

5.     Full payment for all registered classes is to be paid within two weeks of your registration or on the first school day after your registration, which ever comes first. Delayed payment may result in the cancellation of your enrollment by the school administrators for prospective students. No deduction will be given on tuition for registered siblings or registration in multiple classes. A $25 fee will be charged for a returned check.  Late Payment Penalty: there will be a 10% penalty if the tuition is not paid within 2 weeks after the school semester start date.

6.      The minimum enrollment of five (5) per class is required for the school to continue the planned class. By the second Saturday after school starts, the classes with insufficient enrollment will be cancelled or combined with a similar program. Students of cancelled classes may register in other classes with openings only. The school is not responsible for changing/registering in any classes with full enrollment due to any cancellation.

7.      A 80% refund of the tuition will be granted if you drop the course on or before the third Saturday when the school is in session (or 50% refund before the fourth Saturday).   No any portion of the tuition is refunded if you drop the class thereafter. You will need to drop classes by e-mailing your request to principal@foxvalleychineseschool.com before the deadline, including dropping a class in order to switch to a different one.

8.      Parents will be assigned to routine duties automatically by the school at the beginning of each semester. You may find your duty schedule online (Parent Duty Schedule). It is parents' responsibility to find a substitute in case of a schedule conflict.

9.   New students enrolling in Chinese II or higher will be required to take a placement test in order to judge their abilities. This test will determine which level they should enroll in.
