Chinese I

COURSE  DESCRIPTION:    

Chinese I class is designed mainly for Mandarin speaking family students, whose Chinese listening (L) skill has been well developed, but with limited or no speaking (S), reading (R) and writing (W) skills.  The class is targeted for students age 6 and up.  The class focuses on the development of Chinese reading (R) and writing (W) skills, at the same time, the further development of the L & S communication skills are also emphasized.  The goal is to help students build up interest to Chinese language and culture, as well as fully develop Chinese communication skills.

Textbook:  《ZHONGWEN》, book one or above.
